ShortLived LA

A totally sold out, standing room only house packed the Theater Asylum in Hollywood to catch the final night of PianoFight’s venerable (and now inter-city) playwriting competition, ShortLived. As usual, the evening was fast paced and kick ass and ended in some stiff competition between some exceptionally talented LA writers, all battling to take the top spot in the round and earn the right to compete in Championship Weekend in SF, and the shot at writing a full length to be produced by PianoFight for one month in the City by the Bay.

So, without further adieu, here are the full results:

  1. 1)“Seas of Passion, Oceans of Desire” - Alex Yates

  2. 2)“Writers’ Block” - Nina Harada

  3. 3)“A Family Affair” - James Lanman

  4. 4)“Check Please” - Itai Grunfield

  5. 5)“The Show Must Go On” - Dan Williams

  6. 6)“For Bidden” - John Bolen

  7. 7)“Buck Fuddies” - Ayla Marie Harrison

  8. 8)“1(800)-DO-I-CARE” - Tony Jerris

So congratulations to Alex Yates and the cast of “Seas of Passion, Oceans of Desire” for nabbing the No. 1 spot and clinching their place in Championship Weekend.

And finally, tickets are about half sold out for Championship Weekend June 26-27, so if you want to see the best of the best of ShortLived SF and LA, buy your tix in advance here:
